Monthly Fun Battles
My idea is for a new server. This server will be named Monthly Fun Battle. It is only open for 24 hours on the first of every month. Let me get the basics out of the way first.
The galaxy will be made out of 30 systems.
2 black holes
5 systems with no planets in them
8 systems overcrowded with planets
5 systems with middle to little planets
2 safe Sol-like systems that are safe
1 system that spawns laser cannons in random posistions in space
then some random other systems
starports are spread throughout fore reshielding only (though shields will get expensive)(there are no resources or need for resources)
To play in the MFB you must choose a personality from any other server. You have that ship and its weapons with full shields (no cargo). At the start you get a free 3 million for reshielding. You get nukes at the beginning of the game depending on your level. Eight for emporers/dark overlords,7 for fleet admirals, 6 for admirals, 5 for vice admirals, and so on in that faction (bad names apply for all).
The planets are uncolonizable and a place for battle. Its just a place for epic no consequence battles. There are no taxes in the safe systems and you can log out there to rest for a bit.
If you die, you reappear in Sol and have to wait 2 minutes to go back out.
At the end of the day scores are calculated. The 10 top killers win prizes of either tokens or large sums of money transferred to their accounts (the accounts they chose at the beginning of the battle) They also get small blue Medals with their place (first second third so on) on it. The medal is on desplay next to their name (in game and on chat menu) until the next fun battle. The person that died the most is marked by a red medal in the same place for the month. Other than that, no consequences pass onto your regular gameplay.
I think it sounds like a fun idea. Lets see what you think.
PS If you vote, say why you felt that way, i'm open to changes

Don't you think that the people at starport can afford to lose $20? And really to create it, it should take less than half the time it takes to create any other serverSound fun, but it would take reconstruction of just one server, and tell me who should pay these money and tokens?
Whats the point of battling in blitzkrieg anyway? dome dropping is enough to ensure winning for anyone. also, with a monthly fun battle, you'd probably get a larger turnout than the four or five people that play blitzkrieg, all of them here to battle. also, there is no evidence of weather you win or lose in blitzkrieg that follows you so people know.this couldnt be done in blitzkrieg?

I see variations, but my idea was a server with two maps;
1 safe map
1 insane, user packed deathmatch map
Each of which designated areas (Sol and some random galaxy name) with no other purpose then to allow players to blow the hell out of each other, Halo Wars-style. Probably capping it at 70-100 players would be a good idea.

I suggested an alternative to an idea, in which we simply had a fully safe and workable training server. Currency doesn't matter, nor does exp, rep or fuel, and you can simply learn to fight each other and invade colonies, with no worries for when you appear again at Sol, since you can snap up any ship you want every time. Who wouldn't use it, outside of the top-most of the skilled, and people that want value for their efforts.
Great for sparing other servers questions that could be otherwise solved in the forums or another player; we could have a community in there to offer tutorials, because its best to have human players; computer-guided means that if you don't understand, it will not explain it further/summarize. I like the idea, Jiachi.

A final bit I forgot about in my attempted reiteration above:
This server will be placed at the top of the list, and only move down below others which you have characters in. This lets new players know of it, and points at it for them somewhat, while still trying not to get in the way of older players.
