[IDEA] Mac OSX

Post by Orion » Sat Mar 31, 2007 3:51 am

Starport should be made compatible with Macs.

I am more than likely getting an old yet beautiful iMac G4 this summer and it would be a bummer if I couldn't play StarPort on it...

Starport would also get more members if it opened it's arms to the Apple community. (Linux too probably.)

Oh, just use Virtual PC if it is a G4.

I know about wine...I have tried it in wine and cedega, both I have been unsuccessful with, both of them cause an error message every few seconds which totally stops the game.

His My-Space had one of his companies listed as Aspyr Inc or something, which ports games to Macs. I don't know if he really worked for them or not... As a side note, he doesn't own that my-space last I checked.

Makes don't suck suck if you know how to use them well, and if you have Mac specific programs you need to use... Macs are productivity machines. And it would be nice to be productive and be able to play a game you like at the same time...
