forum idea

off topic
an off topic section for where people can talk about what they want like stuff goin on in the world fav band gey rights and such
just because its off topic section doesnt mean u just spam everything and create topics named "spam here"
but this would stop some spam posts and not make people have to goto "other" forums to speak about stuff like mcfly and.......

u get the idea

Actually i think this would be a good idea:
- It would bring the community closer together because we would know where we all stand on certain moral issues.
- We can find out what certain players have in common.
- Improves communication both in game and forum wise as we know (again) about common factors that players share.

There are loads of good sides to this and i think it is a good idea. If it not implemented for good, then i hope you guys will just PILOT it to see what it does.

This is an stupid idea, there is a reason ppl call this spam, cause it is! this is a forum based around a MMO, the forum should stick to that, there are thousands of other forums where you can go talk about BBQ like this, I think most ppl play video games so they don't have to think about stuff like this.

It would actually bring the comunity closer together. I think it's a good idea. But your opinion is your and your only, don't go dragging a good idea down with your reputation.

i like it... it means that instead of tryin to ask people on the game what bang they like or shoutin that i like a band i can put it on the fourm and chat to people about them... ut can be very good... ye... not every1 will take part... but im sure not every1 goes into the tavern... well i no i dont.... i always found idea's for the game a better subject then storeis or what ever else people talk about in their...

Obviously you speak for yourself. Ive been in very large clans for hl2 and guildwars and the offtopic forum was the most popular one, without having to many spam issues. On the whole i love video games, but my favorite forum has nothing to do with games, i enjoy talking about other stuff. IT does bring people closer together and it doesnt have to be spam. Your just a little paranoid, and apparently going through pms.

I've said time and time again, this idea will bring the community closer together. I don't wanna hijack anyone else's ideas because if i did .. it might be taken as me attention grabbing.

I like this idea, and i think that if we persist enough (A fancy word for "piss you all off enough) it will happen

The community in general seems closer together since the change in mods happened. We've had very little flaming, or controversy come up and the mods all get along.

I don't know how much bandwidth and such it would add to make an off topic section. It would require more monitoring than the current SGE related posts. Personally I think Messenger is the place for off topic non SGE related talk.

If we had an off topic section who would decide whats able to be posted and what subjects and pictures are unsuitable to be posted? I'd rather not have to deal with being the "hall monitor" on such a thread.
