New Ship

For the CEO there could be a new ship. You know like the Go'auld Mother ships in Stargate(one of the best programs ever). Its special could be a kinda solar cannon that drains all energy for one shot. It could also have 20000 shields, 200 cargo holds, and use 9 fuel per warp. This would be far better than the current CEO ship, which is in effect pretty useless. Its starting weapon would be fusion blasters. With 16 cargo bays it would be pretty awesome but 8 would be fine I guess....

1) The CEO already has it's own ship.

2) The ship specs you are suggesting would make it too powerful and seriously unbalance the game.

3) Nobody would want to be in anyone else corp, everyone would have their own just to get the ship, this would make teamwork difficult if not impossble.

A new ship is a good idea, but you need to consider the negative aspect before making it a CEO, or pos/neg required ship.

Also you need to tone the idea down a little bit. It can't surpass the Seth, or ISC because those have special requirements to obtain and aside from the IGS which requires a token purchace, it can not be made more powerful than those two.

Anyway, the Goa'uld Ha'tak motherships are not actually that strong.

Now, if you'd said Asgard mothership, it might have been more plausible.

That was the idea, that it wasn't as strong as an Asgard one.

It wouldn't make it too unbalanced playwise, purely because I'm recommending a huge price tag of 40 million. And it wouldn't have good maneuvaribilty(or however you spell it) making it fairly bad at invading. The ship specs themselves arent too overly balanced, but I can see the point in lowering the shields to more like the current 12K

Oh I do. Hence the reason for it. I want it to seem a long time so as you use it sparingly. I mean drains the users energy btw, not the attackers. It drains both, but user has about half a second more of time till it comes back.
If it was to be made about 6 I suppose it would still be as I want it to be. I'm willing to listen to constructive criticism so I can go back the drawing board.

This ship is unbalanced in itself - its 40mil? for what? an isc would kill this np with the manouverabilty your suggesting - the special im not sure on - either too strong or useless (solar cannons are easy enough to dodge either way and 12 seconds is way too long for the energy to regen)

hmm, ok lower the price then or possibly go and rethink the Solar idea along with the maneuvrability. Any ideas on how to set up the maneuvrability then??

Ok, so not a solar cannon anymore.
A solar shockwave with a damage ratio. Max at point blank, getting less further out(thanks merlin) and it can go thru planets but does less damage(thanks Knightshade3). The energy regen for both user and attacker is 3 seconds.

And a 4mill price tag sounds reasonable now.

In terms of turn rate I feel that a fair one would be to have the same turn rate as a speedstar, and Battleships speed.

16 equipment slots would be prefered.

While defending a planet the solar shockwave can go over walls, while attacking a planet it cant. In space it can travel through planets but does less damage the further out it goes.

no how about crapy manuverbilty like that off a flower but 25k sheildsso it can take the hit insteda dodge em membe decent enough not to gstuck on the sun tohugh so slow speed but get to it quickly

Cost:40,000,000credits You must be joking, the majority of players wouldn't be able to afford this until they had huge corps, Don't forget you aren't getting this money you are spending it... 3 mil max.
The notes in red show to some extent what is wrong with this suggestion, you need to remember that ALL ships need to be accessable to everyone, and balance against what is already there. If you make this too powerful or too effecient (too many cargo or equipment holds) it would surpass the IGS and then Toonces wouldn't have a ship for you to spend tokens on when a better one would exist in the shipyard.

Special Weapon: solar cannon shot (1000dmg 500 enegy auto lock aand fire at where they are when the button is pressed 200 energy per shot but think how easy to dodge this is

Cargo holds: 1 ( this is no freighter)
Maximum Speed: 2000
Turning: 10
Thrusting: 2000 (reach topspeed in no time i cant be bothered been stuck on stuff
Energy Regen: 300 Per sec
Warp Fuel Efficency: 20
Cost: 30,000,000credits (i have 15 colony and i can easily aford this)

YOU can afford it.... What about the guy who just started playing last week, He's trying to start his own corp so he can get some help looking for a good location to start up... the average newer player can't imagine 30+ mil yet, they are having a time of aquiring enpough to start their first colony.

1 cargo hold is worthless, A CEO ship should at least carry as much as the current one.

30k shields is WAY,WAY,WAY too much for this game.

If you want an auto aiming weapon it must be limited in range OR be a projectile carried in the equipment bays. Otherwise Toonces won't even considder it. Locking on a previous location would also make this weapon completely useless unless you are shooting at sleepers in space... lol

ships in the game already reach top speed right away unless they hit shift to turbo. this is pointless to mention

at 20 fuel per hop you would burn thru 1k fuel in 50 hops. (CEO's need to be able to travel to new territory without fear of becomming stranded)

100 energy gen per second would cause it to take 15 to 20 seconds to land on a planet if you just got hit. you'd be a sitting duck and if you shot your weapon you wouldn't be able to land at all.


What you have designed here is an over priced deathtrap, nobody but YOU would fly this ship, and you'd die alot.

Reduced cargo holds by 10 to acomidate for adding 8 equipment bays, slowed it down a little to show added weight, and increased fuel for same reason. Equipment bays account for additional cost of purchase price.

This is a well rounded, mostly efficent ship which allows a similar cargo capacity to the current CEO model, but has added equipment capacity allowing for added offensive and defensive cargo capacity.

why must it have cargo holds i dont want to build in the dam thing and why is 30 k of sheilds to muchf or something that wont dodge a thing and it 300 enegy per sec to stfu and read

ok well i'm listening to the advice Maniacus and im thinking 150 cargo holds would be better, with 9 fuel used to warp. I still like my special however, but everything else looks great.

now heres a cool idea...integrate the corpmates...

CEO ship gets an upgrade...
the tractor is much more powerful, impossible to shake once it is close enough...but uses more energy...
shields up to 16k
up turning to 70
up thrust to 800
energy regen should be 9

now the corpmate ship

16k shields
max speed 7500
thrust 850
turning 90
energy regen 8
cargo 110
fuel per hop 7
special- grav beam that uses no energy for 6 sec w/ a 12 sec cooldown...only hits 1 target and can do immense dmg if used w/ grav beam obviously

now thats a cool idea...start teamwork between CEO's and their corpmates...these ships can all hang w/ the sethdars and ISC's, but are not superior...perhaps make a special starbase for members of a corp...

erm....that was my original post....it has now mutated thanks .seth. Its now more balanced than originally and that poll applied to before when i submitted original stats.

thats way too strong man, it can keep the weak solar cannon but it needs to be weaker and unusable around a black hole

and lower shields 2 10000
