How about a patch that makes it so that you can't colonize a planet with an arti on it?

Or maybe... a patch that stops telling you locs where the planet has already been colonized?

I checked like, 30 ports today and only got three locs. One of the planets was colonized... and colonized such that even if I suislid, I would not be able to retrieve the arti. Then I got that same loc again. Then I got one arti loc that could be picked up... and it was a cloak. Oh, and might I add that I bought and jettisoned ~6 artis as I checked ports.

I've gone arti hunting before and had this same problem. The same locs keep popping up, and they're useless because you can't even pick the artis up.

Solution please?

Well you COULD invade them, but most of the time that requires artifacts anywho, lol. I see the problem. Yeah, planets that have artifacts on them is definitely a bad thing.

Even that is iffy... I mean, I would have to use negs to invade. And they were both 10/120's with dome and all lasers right at warp. You know, the layout where the solar shoots at you the second you land. I haven't tried, but I'm not sure that you could solo that, and CERTAINLY not before someone noticed and redefended. Because when you neg invade, it takes more negs, which takes more time, which allows lasers more time to repair. If you're drop nuking, this is especially so. And a newb definitely wouldnt be able to do this. In fact, a newb would die as soon as he/she landed on that sort of colony. So I think this needs to be fixed.

I play GA also and have noticed this problem also. The way this is working out is basically arti-squating and promotes an unfair advantage for the owner\Corporation of the colony.

I created a post in the Engineering section and sent support an email. According to Aaron the problem is fixed.

The problem with artifacts on colonized worlds should be cleared up now. Please let me know if you see it happen again, and thank you for the report!

This morning I tested this for 1 artifact and it was on an unpopulated planet... will try another one a little later.

He could just make artifacts spawn in the landing zones of colonies, that would be so much better.

extremely common on p1. maybe arties should only be on gas giants or tinies

The problem seems to have been fixed, I checked 3 artis out and they were all on uncolonized planets. Happy New Year! :D
