Why don't we have random hardware dorps?
If you kill an npc ship ,depending on the exp they have, they can drop missiles and even some cargo if they blow up.
I know aliens on planets drop them but then hardware drop on NPC would be nice.

Also I suggest NPCs in Intergalactic ship. There is only one in every galaxy. If you kill it, it drops an artifact. This could be a problem for ppl will just try to hunt it and the NPC will be easier/hard to find because it moves around. To make hunting the NPC harder, the ship can shoot 1 negotiator every 20 seconds, shield regens 1 every 1 minute. This will help preserve the NPC and make it challenging to hunt one. This alien NPC does not have rep, it's 0, so the prefix title is 'Alien'. If it dies then its respawns rate is just like artifacts on planets. The way the alien spawns is through a warpgate or out of a planet. Also the Alien can go into planets, which makes it extra hard to find.

Random event (technically mission):
-Space Limpits
These pests can cling to ur hull when you warp. Very rare (0.1% everytime you warp) and prized by collectors all around (they are placed in stations all around). These are pests for it can eat up shield (about 5% chance every hour that it'll occurr), energy (about 100 energy with 10% chance every hour) or cargos! (about 1 random cargo with 5% chance it'll do so every hour). To detect this pest you can use any scanner apart from your fisrt short-range, or you could find out if your lossing things, or go to a station (only some) where there's a special tab in the lounge called 'collector', the collector scanns your ship for space limpits and if they find one they'll buy it for 500k imediately and gain 500 exp. If they find nothing then you lose 50k for wasting his/her time. Warning you should scan for limpits for if you have a limpit but you log off the affect still works. If the shield or cargo goes to zero the limpit dies from starvation (you'll lose your chance to make easy bucks). If your shield goes to zero it dosen't explode, you just need to get hit one more time.

The event isn't that hard to impliment (mabye the tab in the lounge) and could benifit or cause trouble to players. It could also make the game fun.

How would a missile on the spaceship survive it EXPLODING?

Ahaaa... the irony, it burns.

The missile just makes the player killing the alien harder cuz the alien might kill him/her.
