Hex Shield
You guys need to create a shield called the Hex Shield (or something else) and when you hit tab, your thrusters go offline in order to use the hex shield, but the shield goes in front of your ship and any weapon that hits it is knocked back at the direction it came from.

yeah, that doesn't sound bad. But it might need more drawbacks. And it would certainly be a special weapon on some new ship or something. This should not be something that you purchase.
And I don't think that it is cheap, it is no more cheap than some of the other defensive special weapons.

Im Down But...
I think its a good idea but make the BBQ the death ray size or maybe smaller so its not to easy to deflect missles and other slow moving weapons. Also the graviton hellbore and death ray should penetrate the shield because the are lasers and this thing needs a kryptonite.

It does exist in Star Trek Armada II, might I add it is still nonetheless a star-trek idea.
