[idea] regular mines do double damage then they do now
From since compund mines where introduced, regular mines became useless, so what about doubling the damage they do, and still leave them 1 hit to clear.I think they will be more useful, and used for something rather then having them in weapons for show.

let me put it like this:Paradox_moth wrote:no, people buy mines because they are cheaper but not as affective, and compunds are more pwerfull but more expensive, therefore balancing the game. and i meant to put no on the poll but accidently hit view results instead.
let assume that;
if you hit a mine it do 'x' damage
then;
compund mines = 4 hits = '4x' damage
current regular mines = 1 hit = x damage
I am suggesting regular mines = 1 hit but '2x' damage
its still cm better then regular mines, still balanced

dont cry out for nerfs on the cmine!
i think normal mines should "cloak" on the system radar unless u have neutrino scanners and "cloak" up close unless u have battle scanners.
default scanners would be able to detect the weight in the system if u were paranoid enough to press alt S.
while u got me talking about cloaking i think the "ion tower" needs to jam the system radar while u are on the surface. the super slow and short distance weapons would be almost dangerous again if u couldn't see them coming a mile away. in fact, most of the special buildings are total BBQ after research and consumption patches.

the system radar is the tiny box in the bottom right. im fairly certain thats what you are calling the map.Patrikc wrote:Hmm I like the idea of a cloaked mine...
Though I'd rather have it cloaked on the 'map' rather than the system radar, and it would uncloak if you got next to it (just a little further away then needed to set it off).
i want it to be the way i said because it not only makes more mining options, but also brings new levels of depth and strategy to the choice of scanners you use.
neutrino = can see them on radar
battle = can see them manually (still far if u zoom all the way out)
default = alt s reveals presence of cloaked mines via weight
