Happening to me too. It loads up and then quits right before going to the log-in screen.

hmm, that's disturbing. I'll see if i can get a new patch up soon. Can you tell me a little about your computer, what version of windows are you running, how old is the computer, and what kind of connection to the internet do you have?

I'm running windows xp on a 2-year old computer. Broadband connection.

you said you were running that xp on a mac with bootcamp? That certainly sticks out as something unusual, but i still don't know why it would crash after load...

Although it might stick out as unusual, it runs exactly like a run-of-the-mill windows xp. The actual processor is intel chips and all....

I guess I could be the only one currently with the problem, but with leader.killer posting so quickly after the patch, I feel it's not just me.

Usually I don't have any special errors from running bootcamp.

I appreciate you working hard for me. Unfortunately, i'm still getting the same results even after the last patch.

I tried logging in with another computer running vista, and it worked without a hitch. I'll try reinstalling the game again on my end. Not sure what else to do.

I am able to load up SGE no problems. The servers all say not responding. I also got error message. I just tried it again and got on. I had no issues before the recent patch.. #562??

I have the same problem, I tried re-downloading and reinstalling the game but it does not seem to work.

My laptop:

Windows XP Professional
2 GB RAM
Intel Core 2 CPU T5600

Connected to the internet by a wireless broadband connection.

It also does not give an error code, the screen just goes black and then back to desktop after the load screen has loaded.
No SGE error code, no Mircrosoft error report, nothing.

to completely confirm along with the others, this patch now causes (for me at the very least)

1) the nuke bug where you shoot a nuke, but it's only a 'ghost nuke,' where it never actually leaves your hold and does no damage. This is happening for me on any hostile col I'm on, and in any part of the col.

2) you get booted from all caps.

I have tried everything that everyone else has, including warping in and out, restarting, etc.

I tried reinstalling multiple times now, same problem, if I change the client.cfg to have fullscreen=false, the game crashes as soon as I double click the launcher and it gives a Microsoft error report.

im using microsoft windows computers about 4-6years old and i have DSL.thank god im not the only one having a problem and still it isnt fixed after i came home from school.. >.>

toonces you need to fix this asap its affecting everything...lots off ppl cant even get to the log in page exits sge before they can even see the login page.and what lazerus said is bad too...big problem needs a fast fix.
