i'm making a new post about this idea cause i dont want it to be swallowed up in other threads.
my idea is that if you buy a secondry or auxilary weapon thats not what was in the old type ship then it has to be built by your crew over a number of hours. for example if you've got a seth and you want tractor beam you buy it at abase but your crew assembles it so you've to stay alive for that time or you start over with a new ship. i think weapons should have different build times and if anyone has idea's on what the times should be please post them

Hmm... the idea is not bad, but please add some extra information so we can have an idea on what happens WHILE it builds. Do you simply move around as normal without that weapon but with that slot used up or what?
