Number of Followers On Profile Screen

How is the number of Followers on the profile screen determined? I thought it might be the number of colonists on colonies but it doesnt match up that way on my colonies.

(Your corporate colonists)/(number of corpmates) + (Corpmate's corporate colonists)/(number of corpmates) + (personal colonists) = followers.

its basicly an average if you corp all ur cols ina corp.. when solo the number of followers is the actual number you have ..
