use /s before what you say, otherwise your only talking to your system not the whole server
the other commands are:
/t <then who ur sending the personal message to> --- sends a private message to one person
/r --- a quick reply to a /t
/c --- just talk to your corperation
/ping or /lag --- check your connection status
/map <system name or coordinates> opens the map and gives you the location of the system
/who or /pro <name of person> --- opens a persons profile
/showcorp <corperation name> --- opens corperation's page of what corp your looking up
/tc <corporation name> --- sends a message to all online members of a corporation
/join <1 through 999> and then /1 through /999 --- you join a seperate channel from chat that you can communicate with your group in, or used to avoid the FCC in debates
/slap <name>
/kiss <name>
/hug <name>
/wink <name>
/eyeroll <name>
/shrug <name>
and others --- sends sort of an emote message to the person
this game's chat system and some components of gameplay are slash command based, dont worry your game isn't broken
