Perma 2. Are we ready for a rebang?

Post by Pitviper » Thu Feb 16, 2006 4:56 pm

Interstellar Peace Corp owns about half the server. I would like to see the server get rebanged and my corp given some type of special medal for dominating the server so well.

yeah, weve asked for a tally of planets/points and a bang of pv1, with special medals given to the top planet owners and whatnot.

If it does happen, except it in six months after a patch that caused all planets with the letters A and E in the name to explode.

its actually very easy to spell like you actually know the language you were born in, even without spelling everything correct

u = you
r = are
2 = too, also

Translation for you MelkoR:
Permaverse 2 is a young server compared to the original permaverse, and beacuse of this there are still lots of colonies to be taken, so dont rebang permaverse 2, because everlasting means an everlasting server, not one that rebangs after 6 months.

There, see i can understand what he means.

I wouldn't be bothered by this: There's a difference between the PV1 and PV2 situations: PV1, Empire and Caeli opposed each other. PV2, nobody of significant note isn't allied with IPC.

I'd have to agree with cross, perma1 there were possible wars.... however, I'd like to say I'm gonna stand up to IPC some day.. maybe.... me and my barge.

At this point, resisting is pretty much pointless. The patches combined with momentum have more or less assured this.

1. Nobody is going to pick IPC apart from all sides: Most of the parties that remain have been committed allies for a very long time.

2. Even if you win, you still lose: Maintaining over a thousand planets is not a tenable exercise due to the entire pollution mess, and so all you're doing is taking the situation off their hands and making it worse for yourself.

And there doesn't seem to be a good poll option. Where's the "yay IPC!" option?

Guess I forgot to include that one Cross. You had said you were quitting. Did you change your mind?

I'm planning to liquidate my stores in the near future, then withdraw from the active business of running an empire as it all burns down, yeah. Depending on what comes next, I may or may not stick around if you develop an opening in the near future. But I'm through with trying to administer an empire, and am not starting any new servers. Not sure what the situation on the "rep adjust" business is yet: It SEEMS that it may have stopped, since there wasn't a massive rep wipe on PV3.

It looks like people are finally starting to think we should win. I'm really happy to see that.

As usual, public consensus seems to be against you winning. Oh, well. Keep on killing the ones that disagree. I'll maybe drop by in a few free moments to help.

Huh... well, thats an interesting perspective, and p2 entered its best period in 2007-08 before the patch 66.6 war, to think all of that would have been lost... and the layout hugged with, if they rebanged in 2006...

Actually, a permanent server is something of a misnomer anyways. Chances are slim that the game will last 100 years let along till the end of time. Given that, no perma is really permanent. If you're looking for something that lasts forever, you'd need to solve the issues of the eventual death of the universe in some 70 trillion trillion years. Just sayin'.
