why is nobody playing far traveller ?

I've just come back to the game played a number of years ago... With this being the newsest server I sometimes see other servers with more players online (GA & ROF). However I fail to see why it has a smaller player base. Please share why you are or aren't playing it... I've also been giving out free cash on the server to people to help dem set up. I'm in Go Away corp.. Please say hi if u see me there.

Well, theres two things that I do not like about it. Well perhaps 3.

1 - The IDEA of the map and it having to be explored is cool - but honestly it's not what I want to have to deal with in this game

2 - Asteroids. Plain and simple - they're annoying.

3 - Alot of the players are in love with their old permas and are far more active on a stable server.

I've simply been gone so long I've actually forgotten how to play. I remember the most basic ideas, but so many things have changed it would take me quite some time to get adjusted. I don't even remember most of the commands, but some things I do remember how to use. My computer shows funny purple rings around things and I don't remember how to adjust it so those don't show for planets. If anyone knows feel free to let me know.

Oh that's easy, either just switch between fullscreen and windowed mode,

or if you want open up that text file called client.cfg in your StarportGE directory and add a line of text to the end of that says:
offscreen=true

then save the file and run Starport again.
