Where to advertise?

Does anyone have suggestions on what sites would be good to put a banner advertisement for a game like Starport on?

kongregate.com
I've had good luck recruiting friends from there to come play starport. And I think the community in general has a high number of people that would be interested

post on runescape!!!!! lol. but nah, kongregate or miniclip (if its still around) are good places to go.

kongregate has an actual community though, so there's also potential for word of mouth advertisement

Create a Facebook page. Everyone has Facebook now days.
When a person becomes a friend with the starport page it would tell all that persons friends they have become a friend with starport. Then people might be interested to find out what it is and may do some research / download the game.

Nice job toonces on the avatar, I would suggest a smiley face after the "Come play with me"
Other then that maybe add a few more graphics that pertain to the actual game. Dunno what would be a good site to advertise on but seems that the ones mentioned would be a good start.
Can you bring back the bonus for us leaving reviews? Maybe you could have us create avatars and have us vote on the best one or you pick it yourself. Of course tokens would be awarded to the winner of the avatar contest.

haha honestly, the ad has almost nothing to do with starport (the avenger in the background makes me have to say almost), but it will probably bring in more people than an ad that actually focused on the game. and then even after they realize that, they'll have already started and hopefully decided to play

Not entirely "pornographic"...just kind of sketchy. Sex sells and it probably will work. Just strikes me a VERY overt and somewhat juvenile. You could probably do something just a titillating (even more so) - if it were a touch more subtle.

Btw i think Starport Galactic Empires should break off and create some thing more along the lines of Pornport Porntastic Adventures in Space, and maybe in 3d...

Bobby MenkeDick did some work for you and he makes some pretty good game trailers, why not have him make you a cool trailer for the game and put it on

The game needs some real exposure, not second rate game review sites.
