Can't log in

Can't log in
i came home.. i had d/c'd on HC, logged out, tried to log back in.. said client was out of date, restarted SGE, but it wouldnt load past a certain point. tried a couple more times.. then redownloaded sge. i got to the login screen, but i was unable to log in.. i couldnt put my cursor in the user name box? or PW box. i redownloaded it again, and now im just annoyed. any help?

Same issue other the SGE won't even open for me.

8 ppl i've talked to had problems with the latest patch and had to re-install, i myself got a message on screen saying parcher had failed and to re-install. all was fine once i downloaded

We should probably sticky this, but when this happens... all you have to do is click <shift> <tab> and the f13 key. Takes you right in to the screen where you pick your server. If you need further assistance, please let me know.

still not working, any help? it works on my laptop, but i dont play on my laptop. so thats useless. ive downloaded multiple times from both mirrors after removing all sge files from the computer.

Ya the "special mod" key was working fine last night when I DC and the screen minimized to desktop. A cute little pop up told me my new client was patching and I needed to uninstall and reinstall SGE. I cussed, screamed, and proceeded to uninstall/reinstall both versions x2 each. I restarted my comp and I couldn't type my name or pass word in the box, because it wouldn't let me. After 40 minutes of restarting, uninstalling, and reinstalling the SGE gods allowed me to log in. I was on a random planet safe, ONLY because Thorin watched over me. I sent Toonces a PM about this glitch and it's also posted in Engineering.

Prevention is better than the cure.
Log out a good minute before the servers shut down, and you can relog with no problem at all. No need to reinstall or this BBQ.

There are far too many bugs at the moment and as Luna mentioned they dc you and leave you vunerable.
More chances of losing player base than growing it. These dc problems just aren´t helping.
