This is your standard model spaceship for cruising the galaxy, and the vehicle that all players start with. Competent in most areas of performance and economically priced, afterburners will provide you with an extra kick of speed when you need it.
The afterburners provide a burst of acceleration for approximately 4 seconds. This is highly useful for new players who are doing taxi missions, as faster arrival means more money and experience. Players usually upgrade to a Falcon or Merchant Freighter when done with taxi, as these ships have greater shield and cargo capacity.
