Spaceship Primary Weapons
All spaceship types can be outfitted with any of the primary weapons (only one at a time though). Your ship can be fitted with a new primary weapon at a Star Base shipyards. Your weapon is not lost when you change ships - buying a better weapon can be seen as an investment. Your old weapon is traded in for 75% of its original value.
Projectile weapons are affected by gravity and momentum, while energy weapons are not. All projectile weapons except the explosive charge are capable of bouncing off of objects.
