Medals are awarded to winners of the rebang style of galaxies.

Medals are awarded by experience. The winner of a rebang gets a gold medal, the second and third place person gets a silver medal, and everyone in the top ten gets a bronze medal. Because of this experience is much more valuable on a rebang than on a perma universe. Special trophies are also given to the top three winners of championship and tournament games.

Medals are visible the the character screen. It is the only thing about your user (as opposed to character) that follows around from galaxy to galaxy. Note: As of patch 422, Achievement Points now also follow you around and are awarded retroactively for Medals.
