Cargo holds

Cargo Holds are the part of your spaceship used for transporting resources or colonists. They are also used as a standard measurement of amount in the galaxy.

A new ship from the factory comes with 20 cargo holds. You can purchase more cargo holds for your ship at a Star Base hardware store or a port merchant, up to your ship's cargo holds maximum. Each cargo hold costs $2,500 to install. Freighter-class ships have higher cargo hold maximums than other ships. The more cargo holds your ship has, the more you can transport in one warp jump.
