I sent an email to support outlining the problem and according to Aaron its fixed now. Below is a copy of the reply from support.

The problem with artifacts on colonized worlds should be cleared up now. Please let me know if you see it happen again, and thank you for the report!

yeah some newb asked toonces for help when we were on GA. toonces picked up two of the artis that were on planets and called the problem fixed.

edit: i made a topic about this right? the colonies were literally impossible to solo without nukes. and a newb could never do it. and the cols were impossible to slide so you couldnt get the arti even if you died.

LOL :D

Yes GRAWRG created a topic on this and I made a link to the topic in Engineering to try to get it fixed. Also from your topic an email was sent to suport, and the problem was fixed - or looked at.

As of this morning I was able to finally get an artifact on an unpopulated planet. I will look at getting another artifact from another location later today.

Checked 3 artifacts and they all appeared on uncolonized planets. Seems like the problem is fixed. Happy New Year

This is something new? actually it's not. Very simple, if you want to tie up arti's then you dome the col it is on thus locking it out. Dragonz was doing this ever since GA banged so he could reserve the artis for someone in his corp or a contractor. It's a dick thing to do but has been done for quite some time.

If 3 artifacts are on domed colonies then new ones will not spawn until the artis on the domed cols are picked up. The solution to this is not have artis spawn unless they are on tinys or gas giants.

Now if the artifacts have been spawning on domed colonies then that indeed is a problem but the circumstances mentioned above seem to be what has been going on.
