Generally 40% is a safe pollution level, though it can still happen, one of my prize cols got its first disaster at this level. 'Radio-ing' is chatting with people within the same system, people not in the system cannot see it. 'Shout-ing' is used by players to talk to all players in all corners of the server that are currently online, and is visible to all.

/s = shout, you can
/c = corp chat
/t playername = tell playername
/r = reply to a tell
/map = opens map, if followed by coordinates or system name it locates that system
/where = pretty much an alternative to /map
/who playername = open's player's profile
/pro = alternative to /who
/showcorp corpname = shows that corp's page
/ping = shows you your connection status
/lag = alternative to /ping
/max = opens fully you HUD
/min = closes the majority of your HUD
/go = without coordinates or system name, your autopilot sets out for system marked on the map, with coordinates or system name it sets your autopilot to that location
/savelog = saves your current chat log
/fcc = view your current shout points
/cheer playername = give 100 of your shout points to another player
/jeer playername = takes 100 of yours and your targets shout points

officially 50% is the point from which pollutions can take place. The chance increases when the pollution increases further. It has never happened to me (or I've never noticed this happening) that a planet pollutioned earlier than 50%, but i have seen a planet pollution at the moment it hit 50% so, if you want to make sure you never get pollutions, keep the pollution as low as you can afford.

just a little addition to the list of commands:

/ping [player name] = shows latency, packet loss and frames per second of that player

/ping [your name] = shows latency, packet loss and frames per second of you. /ping on it's own doesn't show your FPS

You could just do Alt-F to show your FPS constantly. (Thats, right, right?)

again, you can

/lag playername
/lag yourself
/lag

but i always press alt f and just /lag or /ping unless im looking up some one else

there was something that brought up a sort of guide.

try typing /help

if that doesnt work, try /guide or something similar. there are a lot of commands, but no real list. i used to get inspirations and try something random. there is some cool stuff out there ;)

The commands can also be found when in game under the Starpedia: keyboard commands (I think that's where it is). Been a long time since I had to actually look and I'm not logged in to double check.
