i have an emulator for pretty much every system and a library of bootleg games as tall as me. i play them with the xbox360 remote. my favs are marvel vs capcom 2, dodonpachi, nadesico:the gap of 3 years, and super metroid redesign.

i play wow when i can hustle free time for it (btw anyone want to buy 300 planets?) and all manner of fps games via steam.

:D so did you play on kali? If so there is a chance I know you from there. Descent was absolutely brilliant.. the kind of brilliance in game design that comes from 1/4 intent and 3/4 accident. Man I loved Descent 2 also... I remember playing Descent 1 and having all these ideas for the game, then Descent 2 comes out and all the things I thought of independently were actually put into the game! Things like more bosses, the ability to have a rear view in one of your cockpit windows, remote cameras etc.

Then descent 3 came out and it was almost what we hoped for, but mostly a piece of crap. A very good looking piece of crap, but still a piece of crap. ><

It's unlikely but does anyone remember a small game called NetStorm? That was pretty tight.

/\---no

But I did spend a lot of time playing escape velocity, which is like a way more indepth starport that is single player only. Its actually the reason I started playing SGE, EV was and still is one of the funnest games Ever. If they ever made that game online, it would blow sge out of the water.

The new Ace Combat is great! It's for X-Box 360 only.

Ah, no. I only played on a LAN when me and some friends would borrow my high school's network for some gaming. Spent many a good hour blowing each other up.

2142 was such a let down. I played the demo for 2 days before it was released and then played the game for 1 day...

I spent that 1 day collecting tags I think.. Funniest part was getting into a knife fight with 5 other guys because they were getting pissed, rolled their asses hard. Ego-trippin after that.

as far as counsel games i got a ps2, and a wii, as well as a beat up n64 and a gamecube.

i have about 80 ps2 games, 10 wii games, 10 gamecube games, and 20 n64 games, and honestly as far as counsel games are concerned, i may get either a ps3 or xbox 360 for christmas, that would determin my decision for future games.... as for now im sticking to what i have, cause there arent enough good games, in my opinion, out yet for either system. hell theres only a few thats actually caught my attention such as Ace Combat 6.

of my collect of games... the most frequently played would probably be:
NewER ones:
Driver: Parallel Lines
Good gameplay and story line, probably my favorite counsel game
Rouge Galaxy
Pretty good follow up to the Dark Cloud series, slightly over complicated, a problem DC2 had, but still fun, harder aswell.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
not exactly the perfect storyline with no verbal communication but gameplay and graphic update from SSBM makes it worth it, as well as online play
Rock Band
ok, and can be good for parties but it purposely being made much suckier than the ps3 version ticked me off a bit

What i consider ps2 classics:

Dark Cloud
Gameplay is good and theres a pretty good variety of skills, adds components i like from zelda and other games. good replay value actually
Front Mission 4 good replay value, dispite the fact that its boadgame style i still like it because you can mix up some techniques, sometimes a little too much dialog but an ok storyline
Dark Cloud 2
a little to happy compared to the first, but does a good job of remixing all the components of the first game. but the invention of new items, and the aquarium and cooking food, and the personalization in rebuilding the villages gets overcomplicated to the point where you cant focus on the problems you need to solve cause theres too many

Computer games:
Fallout 3: Oblivion with guns. Not as good as Oblivion though. :/
Oblivion: Possibly the best game ever made.
Idlerpg: Ok, its not so much a game, but its a LOT of fun. http://idlerpg.kickban.me/
WoW: Much better since the expansion. Still get burned out if I play it too much though.
FFXI: Retired. I will never ever play another SE MMORPG. EVER.

PS3:
Disgaea 3: Ohhhhh, so so SO good. Tactical RPGs are great. Think Final Fantasy Tactics but vastly improved.
GTA4: Still haven't gotten to the last island yet. :/
Mercs 2: Halfway done, good game but I prefer the first one.

Currently...nothing...haven't even played SGE for months. In fact, I haven't played any games, including game- consoles for months now. Damn college takes up all my time (which might be a good thing...SGE was like a crack- addiction for me at one point  ).

Games I used to play though:

1. Ragnarök Online- MMORPG...was another crack addiction for me...waisted an entire summer to get a ridiculously overpowered SinX (don't ask).

2. FLYFF Online- MMORPG...em...yeh, another crack addition. Don't even know why I was so addicted to it- i think it was a combination or boredom and lack of life. The game lags, PvP system sucks (and was taken out of the game at one point), leveling takes forever, and some classes were way overpowered.

3. Counter- Strike- First person shooter...I love this game. 100% skill- based, doesn't take time, and very easy to learn.

4. Age- of- Mythology- I really liked this game too. It's a strategy- based game which really doesn't take up too much time (well, depends on how good you and your opponent are  ).

5. Utopia- Web- browser strategy game. Used to play it years ago, and it was fun considering it doesn't take up my time and you really can't get addicted to it (unless you're in desperate need for a life).

In order, from best to worst though, I'd say:

Ragnarök Online> SGE> Counter- Strike> Age of Mythology> Utopia> FLYFF (f'ing waste of 4 months of summer).

You underestimate AI these days. The NPC's in Oblivion actually have good taste and thus they were just avoiding you.

Pardus

Free browser game

Just started this game.. it's completely browser based.. but wow it seriously rocks. Similar type of game as SGE, space trading etc.., but this game actually has an economy truly run by the players. You can build many types of buildings, which have various build costs and upkeep costs, and other players can trade with your buildings, so if you're smart about what building you make and where you put it, you can make a good profit this way.

You can also build something like a starbase and produce ships to sell, of which there are many many many different types.

Also many different ways to steal and be a pirate; steal from player owned buildings, rob players, set up ambushes etc

Yea I just started and am learning but this game seriously rocks hard so far, amazingly in-depth, and the best part, you have a limited number of action points to spend per day (similar to SGE fuel) so you don't have to spend hours and hours to compete, and it adds that level of strategy as you have to plan out your moves..

So if any of you wonderful Starportians want to give this game a try with me, send me a PM maybe we can hook up and be allies; player relationships are at least as important in Pardus as they are here in SGE

and once again the action point system means you don't have to spend tons of time to play, so don't worry Toonces, I'm not really stealing your players :)

:)

btw, if you play join universe Artemis, and start in the Union Rashkir core, that's where I am. At least try the tutorial, it will take you roughly an hour, and it's so worth it if you like this type of game

I totally forgot about the referral thing. I feel it would be in bad taste to post my referral code here, but if anyone wants to sign up and do me a solid, I'll send you the code in a PM.
