Starport: Galactic Empires

I know I've seen this post before but I couldn't find it little box pops up and says looking for updates and then never goes away and Starport never loads I tried restarting my computer but still the same thing. could someone plz tell me whats going on? Thanks.

I had the same issue today on Classic Homeworlds. My problem was fixed by restarting the computer. I don't know what else to suggest.

it doesn't even load the game the patch loading window pops up and says looking for updates my buddy down the street is having no problems guess its time to send a mail to toonces

Still Same thing its been 38 hours and still no help or response from the Developers of the game I guess they don't work the weekends.
