HELP ME I ITCH

Post by GRAWRG. » Sun Oct 16, 2011 2:38 am

I've been looking all over the internet trying to find itchies that look like mine. I can't find them. I've probably got about 15 or so right now... no specific area. But they're everywhere. Except maybe my stomach... I don't think I've had any there. They're driving me crazy though.

Immediate thought... bed bugs. But I've found no evidence of this. My sheets were/are entirely free of... stuff? White sheets and I couldn't see anything anywhere. Same for the pillow. I stripped the pillows and the sheets and searched the mattress. I've found nothing.

Ugh, finding more even as I type this. They seem to show up as groups of about 7... they're like tiny tiny pin pricks. Except with some of them it doesnt even look like the skin has been punctured. I've found 2-3 groups like this. Then there's the 15 or so other bumps that maybe started out this way? They all look like normal bumps though. They're just small raised bumps. Not red. Just as itchy... unless I'd scratched them to the ouchie point. Which I have for a lot of them.

But wtf is going on? I don't think it's an allergic reaction of any sort, since nothing has changed recently. But there's no evidence of anything being in my bed, and my bed is the only place I've noticed this happening. I'm getting more and more of the bites though, and im tired of the itching and... none of them seem to be going away so... that's not good 0.o

any help?!

What kinds of drugs are you in withdrawal from?

Seriously speaking; spiders perhaps? Might want to look into washing all your sheets (even those in the linen closet), maybe purchase a spider lure/trap or something.

Well you move around when you sleep and you can't really see when you sleep. You never really know until you put down a trap, and to be frank, I don't think a 30 minute inspection of your sheets would reveal bedbugs even if they were there. Try washing them, it has to be some kind of insect and the bed is the perfect place for them. I don't think it has to do with vampires after all...

i didnt say anything about vampires?

i changed my sheets.. and i thoroughly inspected my sheets, mattress, and pillows. i dont think five spiders are creeping into my bed every nite, biting me, leaving, and doing the same the next nite 0.o

and for that matter, spiders just arent going to be able to get to my donkey. whatever bit my donkey, if indeed these are bites... and i think they are, has got to be pretty fricken small. im thinking microscopic.

The vampires thing was a joke, and like I said no one stays perfectly stil during sleep and chances are you roll over at least once or twice. And spiders may do just that, crawl in, crawl out.

Damn, I was gonna say crabs....PJ beat me to it. But seriously the only way to check for bedbugs is about 4-5am in a dark quiet room. Rip the cover or sheets off or lift the mattress quick. if they are there you will see them.

Also have you changed your brand of laundry detergent recently? Does it have perfume? If so get a perfume free hypo-allergenic type of laundry detergent. Same thing goes with fabric softener, hair spray, soap, etc.

One more thing, do you have pets because fleas will do the same thing. Check them with a flea comb, they will show up live or you will see flea dirt. On rare occasions there is a type of worm that lives in your body and burrows out of your skin at night.......been around the world recently or had any raw seafood?

For a good example of this, watch "Monsters Inside Of Me"....pretty disturbing material.

angry trying to help? no way!

like i said, no changes. has nothing to do with perfumes or detergent or anything. i dont think im only being bitten in my sleep. cause i notice new itches when im just laying in bed on the laptop.

i was able to find one pic of scabies bites that kinda looks like mine. but all the pictures of bites ive looked at look so much worse than mine.

ive been bitten by a flea, they arent flea bites. my two cats are indoor cats, and arent allowed in my room anyway.

i really dont want to make my bed for a third time in 2 days. im gonna go to the doctor tomorrow and see if my scabies hypothesis can be confirmed. before then, im going to go pick up some more soap. cause apparently the sulfur in soap kills the scabies mites, and ive been using body wash for a few days since we ran out of soap.

but yeah, thanks though!

and no, i dont have a bug growing inside of my skull. you're being a dick trying to direct me toward that video.

he's right about bed bugs. they hide from light. They could be in your walls, head board, bed frame. the best way is to have a dog that can sniff them out. you might be able to see their eggs in your sheets though. they are black spots about the size of a pinhead.

<-worked in front office hotel biz very long time.

It could be irritation due to prolonged concealment from sunlight, behind your LCD, to an immediate shift - exposing your skin the the radiation outside.

In other words, get out more, GRAWRG. ^-^

Wow. Am I even allowed to talk to my friends without your ignorant donkey getting in my way? I do not loose sleep at night thinking about you. Matter of fact, I don't think about you at all. I only see your random quotes to my posts and I'm reminded of your existence with "Who is this kid?"

Does this itch more at night than during the day? Is it concentrated on legs, and your hands mostly? Don't rule out allergies, and all the other things you read here, but it could be scabies which is a microscopic mite that burrows under the skin feasts on your blood, leaving the little raised bumps. Personally I'd check with the doctor and tell him you need to know what it is. At the very least threaten to give him what you have if he won't be sympathetic.
