Congrats to the USA on stealing a draw from the jaws of defeat. people always say why are the USA in the World Cup. Well any nation who only has to beat Canada and Jamaica to qualify are always going to do so. FIFA is a joke, but the world cup is magic.

As for who will win, I firmly belief that due to the fact its being played in the African winter, that it'll be a european winner, probably Spain or Italy.

PS, of the nine votes in the poll so far, only 2 have voted for Spain nd 3 have voted for the USA. This poll is a joke too.

As I said, I added those most likely to be named, not the most likely to win. Alot of people here are from the USA, so I put USA up there. Same applies to South-Africa, they are the host, people like to see the host do well. So i put them up there. Let's be honest, nobody likes Italy and Portugal...i mean...come on!

Why put the US on there? Well, they're actually IN the tournament. Where's Republic of Ireland?

I guess England shouldn't have made it either. They couldn't beat the US.

USA's not going to be moving past the quarters, but the sure has hell deserve to be there.

USA is ranked 14th overall. Thats not bad considering we have minor league players. Not many average Americans are terribly interested in soccer. Sure most of us played it when we were kids, then we grew up and started to play real sports, like beer pong, and killing shite with guns.

We beat Mexico. Also we beat Spain last go around didn't we? We're starting to take notice of your silly game.

Brazil to me seems boring. Spain looks like the strongest to me personally. Also don't rule out Latveria.

are a terrifying prospect for any defence, only other team playing in the same league as them at the moment is the Argie's, even though he didn't score Messi was awesome in their opening game.

The 2010 version of the Brazil team is one of the most boring I've ever watched, Dunga has turned them all into a version of himself! Also, never rule out the Germans in a World Cup!

Real Football FTW

Spain always chokes in the world cup. They have been huge disappointments the past couple decades in world cup play. Don't be surprised if it happens again.

Brasil might be playing 'ugly football' for the first time, but it's effective football. It's not as pretty as brasil teams past, but they should be considered a favorite to win.

The Germans started out hot with 4 goals agaist the aussies. I agree with Moley, don't count them out!

I take your point they have always underachieved in World Cups, in fact when they hosted it in 1982 we, little Northern Ireland, beat them in the opening game!

However, for the first time in their history they are the current European Champions and about half their team play for the best club side in the world (Barca) so I stand by my shout that they will make the final!

I agree, I think they'll be fine. Going to be tough for most opponents to keep a clean sheet vs. that beautiful attack. but that's assuming the players got the wake-up call and start to play with some passion.
