However in my opinion there are people who commit certain crimes that I think forfeit their right to live, I admit that as the father of a young child my opinion is an emotional one but there are people in prison who have abducted, raped and murdered children... They don't deserve to live, I don't care if it's politically incorrect or morally wrong it's MY opinion and by defination cannot be wrong!

Re: Death Penalty
Excellent idea, but we would run out of areas to planet trees in about 5 years time lol.kenoneill wrote:to appease the tree hugger i'll planet 10 trees for everyone used for my torture. then i will use the decomposing bodies of ppl executed to fertalize the new tree's. circle of lifeCamaril wrote:that would destroy a lot of trees, just adding more pollution to this planet

Re: Death Penalty
we would then have to wait 500 years to give the criminals the 500 year treee butt-rape
it would work after the first 500 years
it would work after the first 500 years
Re: Death Penalty
I think if you were violated by a one year old sappling you would still be almost certain to die. Your arse is pretty sensitive you know!

Re: Death Penalty
i don't think there should be a death penalty, itleast not right after they die. torture them for 15 years or so and keep stopping when they are about to die, after 15 years just keep torturing them until they die.
then, if you can. pod them
then, if you can. pod them

Re: Death Penalty
as a percentage of the population the mythical being "god"s so called servants on earth are the biggest bunch of pedo's around so f.u.c.k him and f.u.c.k his word. string'em all up and be done with itCaia wrote:"Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone."Destructo wrote:God made it simple

Re: Death Penalty
Oh? Got numbers to back that up?
Re: Death Penalty
yes i do. in irish jails out of all the pedos in there 45% are members of ther roman catholic church. when you take into account at the last census that priests make up less than half of 1% of the total population of ireland i think this speaks for itselfCaia wrote:Oh? Got numbers to back that up?
Re: Death Penalty
Being a "member of the church" != Priest.
Try again.
Edit: Or did you mean as a servant of the church I should interperate that as a follower of the church? If that's the case, then go to any non-Christan country. You'll see the followers of that religion make of the highest percent of both the inmate population AND the population that also are pedophiliacs.
Either way, you're presenting a fallacy here.

I edited my above response. You're presenting a fallacy. Specifically this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proof_by_examplekenoneill wrote:when i said member of roman catholic church i was refering to priests and brothers

Re: Death Penalty
I hadn't thought I needed to explain this but... The evidence you offer shouldn't be a fallacy.
For instance, since I have seen a red apple, all apples must be red. This is untrue, and shouldn't taken as evidence because it is a fallacy.
You can claim the sky is green and dogs are cats and 2+2 is 5, but don't expect to fool people with such inanity. Nor should you expect to be taken very seriously.

Re: Death Penalty
i understand what your saying, i can only go on the facts in evidence, 45% priests pedo's in jail half of 1% of the total pop. there the facts
Re: Death Penalty
Ok, assuming those are 100% true, they don't help your argument. That's akin to saying "My cat is gray because it rained on Monday." Now, it DID rain on Monday and my cat IS gray. But one doesn't lead to the other. Generally, if you want to make an argument, you need to present evidence for it. While the stuff you're saying may be all 100% true, the reasoning behind it is flawed.

your wrong madace, revenge is not purely negative, your just too full of your ego... the notion of revenge prevents many from committing crimes...MadAce wrote:How is adding another victim to the list of victims providing closure to the family and friends? Revenge is only destructive and serves no actual goal other than to shallowly alleviate a sense of powerlessness among the victims.Dave34 wrote:I don't care about the morality other than providing closure to the victims family and friends. Criminals don't deserve to live, crime is intollerable, prison is too good for some (if not most) criminals. This country needs stronger and faster justice for everyone.
And I don't see how you'd force people to uphold laws that are broken by society itself.
