[IDEA] A possible use for moons

Ok we've strayed quite a ways from the original topic here which is lunar based planetary sheilding. Either it dies or goes to vote. But in all seriousness, I was actually planning on this not going into the game until a very long time, I was hoping that there would be new types of turrets coming out or other types of defenses besides flaks that would defend against things like vultures. And you know, mines are also an option here. Most people seem to not like mines very much though. But anybody who has the cash (since this is intended to help increase the time for invasion and not so much as stop it) for a 400k object instead of buying turrets for the actual planet will know better than to place the shield generator in a corner and surround it by turrets. And what about planets that are colonized far from starbases? who's gonna go that far in a vulture to take out a single base? seems like a huge waste of fuel to me. i don't know maybe this idea still needs a lot more tweaking.

I think that this is a viable idea and that the def should only be 60, yet another thing that could be added to this topic is what whould the shield resemble(I'm not the best artist on the block so I'll leave that to someone else). I assume you want the shield to be landed on to tak it, but what if you had to destroy it instead?
I mean it would make much more sense to destroy a shield rather than retake it. If not then maybye if you capture you have to pay for repairs for it to be operational again, maybye 100k-200k.

Yeah that was already in the original idea. I didn't want it to be capturable/retakable like a dome but instead either destroyed altogether or if you take down the shields to make it inoperable.
