I believe the current system of solar's could use a bit of changing.
The idea consists of adding damage multipliers to the solar instead of increasing the shots. So we can have powerful 1 shots instead of hugely bulky solars with the recently increased damage.
EX:
1 shot = normal damage
2 shot = 1 shot solar at +.5 damage amount
3 shot = 1 shot solar at +1 damage amount
4 shot = 1 shot solar at +1.5 damage amount
5 shot = 1 shot solar at +2 damage amount
6 shot = 1 shot solar at +2.5 damage amount
7 shot = 1 shot solar at +3 damage amount
etc.
Perhaps this could be optional...
OR
It can apply server-wide on, say, how about Boundless - since that is the 'Test Server' anyways. Lets just see how it works out on boundless.

Just to be clear do you mean increasing damage as the shots increase or decreasing damage?

sounds like a good idea, but Id say make it so you can have up to three solar shots, and damage multiplier up to 1.5x or 2x

i think i'd still prefer it to be 1/1 with the current system.
1 shot = 1 shot
2 shot = 1 shot 2x as damaging
3 shot = 1 shot 3x as damaging
etc
