Sounds like a bad plan lol, only thing that should be able to happen is them glow or something, but if u could recruit npcs that would be pretty cool lol.

i say yea but not on rebangs. and it really depends what it is. i say they get an extra 2 character points that they can put in on of the three categories. how would the muzzle work?

- give their colonies morale bonuses cause everyone likes being led by such great people.

- make a new ship available to them (like a super ceo or something)

Most emperors (on the permas) are there because of inactiveness or leeching off of corpmates cols. Why give them even more power to stay in the top. I'd say make it harder to keep that title.

I think its a cool idea. Giving an Emperor a special power would be like a
reward for his or her hard work and devotion towards the game.

I think however, that the power must be something minor that would not
give the player an unfair advantage. I propose giving players who work
their way up to Emperor the power to sleep in Starports for free.

I believe players can sleep in UN space for free if they have enough EXP
and REP; but I'm not sure if the same applies for Starports.

I voted yes for the special powers for Emperors or the top players on a server. A special ship for only Emperors would be nice. Special avatar would also be nice and possibly a badge on the avatar.

well fondle was taken away for a reason, but replacing it with /dominate would be fine, since to kids it means to rule and for teens and older... hehehe

Mehh, I don´t know if you´ll like it or not, but give Dark Overlords some kinda of ability to erradicate colonies, not just the jet-all-colonists crap, cause that don´t work at all.

Give us the ability to erase permas ourselves, so we can get rid of all the frozen servers.

All in all, I think that the ability to erradicate colonies would allow for the trigger of galactic-plague, which would be just cool to see in some of the permas out there.

They should have NO bonuses, they are emperors for a reason and do NOT need help, if anything, lower ranked people should get helped

The best reason to make emperors get something extra is that it'll make people care more about not dying - at least not enough to lose emperor status :)

Perhaps an extra module bay, so they have 9 instead of the current 8?

That would make sense... 1 extra is not much, and if you lose your emperor status, you lost the thing in the slot anyway. I mean, 1 slot usually means very little, it might be a bit of help in a 1vs1, but if you are hunting down a newbie, 8 nukes or 9, it does not really matter.

I voted no. Why. Because i am an emperor. there is no need what so ever for an emperor to have an extra/bonus power. I did'nt get my status from exp whoring, i earned it. and that is the point to emperor, to earn it. Not get a free ride. If a player wants something as a pat on the back for their emperor status, then give them something non-game-impacting.

Sorry, didn't notice. None-the-less, would be perfect. A SLIGHT boost to speed or energy or an extra weapon would not be bad.

Impractical. Let's say you squeek into 5th place for an hour, then die. Did the guy previously in 5th lose his module for tha hour, but now has it back, and when he logs in he has to wonder why his extra slot is suddenly empty? What about rebangs where after 1 hour the top-ranked dude can have 1k xp? Rankings can't be used - it has to be emperor status independent of ranking.

Another emperor ability which might be nice is being able to change certain col settings remotely from the holdings screen. Presumably they will have gottem emperor most of the time because they have an empire. A lot of people would love Toonces if they could, say, clean pollution from the holdings screen, adjust solar shot number, or some other remote admin from within holdings, perhaps only for the colonies that they themselves own.

One other idea is to calm the people who so badly want to be able to hold extra cash. Perhaps emperors can hold $250mil in both bank and on hand? Then dying down below emperor status is doubly dangerous, since u'd possibly lose cash in bank and on-hand over $100mil...

KUKA still prefers the extra module idea - it's small enough not to give a huge advantage, but still meaningful enough to want.

i really like kuka's idea of an extra module. I also really like the ideas of various chat commands...there have been a lot discussed and im not going to name anything specific.


Toonces, are you still looking to implement some sort of emperor reward, or did you decide not to go this route?

Well I assumed it would still be tied to emperor, I should have clarified. My solution to the problem you mentioned would be, let them keep everything but as soon as they lose one, even by jettisoning it would slip down. The same way someone can go red after getting an isc, let them keep it but not replaceable. Also that people can pass each other is still a problem even if it's limited to 1 module.

If emperors get extra powers it should be something that doesn't have an effect on gameplay, like changing the colour of your ship.

...But then all players should do it. I reckon your ship should have the colours of your corporation on them.
