disable stock market for pax games

Postby nilloc93 » Sun May 13, 2012 6:35 pm

In a PAX game colonies are under constant UN protection so its very annoying when you get stock market level 5, because that means you just lost 1/2 your discoveries on something that will never be useful.

IMO it would improve pax if discoveries that have a 0% chance of being useful were removed from such gals

military tradition is useful since nukes and lasers are nice when invading and defending IGPW's

Dunno but i had a stint building. So i see it like this:

Mil trad = less pop on military
Less pop on military = more pop on resource
more pop on resource = more hardware

on pax games there is rarely any pop on military anyway.

In my humble opinion we have plenty of useless research that can end up on colonies that can't really use that specific research. The Starpedia says the colonists research for the specific planet type...what a lie!!!! I've had colonies make things the have no use for, and then get lvl 5 of that one item. I thought Toonces should make the research specific for the planet types, and let it be chance what level it gets of those specific researches.

Who needs a gh making more anaerobes, or a desert making more spice, or a rocky with ore coming out the biodome? No one. A volc that gets lvl 3-5 Weather prediction will be one happy set of colonists.
