Last patch failed to update my client so I had to re-install it, but after re-installing it I can no longer type in any of the boxes (neither user/password nor any of the Create New User fields).
I have this issue on both my PC and my laptop, my PC running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit while my laptop runs Windows 8.1 64bit.

try restarting your computer. that fixed this problem for me when it occured once before.

After reinstalling twice more I can finally type in my u/p. The cause remains a mystery.
