Mini map does not display col layout

This may or may not be a bug.
When i am in a col all the mini map shows me is a pink screen with lazers, dome and warp standing out
I never really thought much of it untill i saw some cap pics today and realized my mini map doesnt show anything

I have tried clicking on all the little circles on top that change behavior of the mini map
but in col layout its always pink screen

Not restricted to any particular server, though i currently play Kepler
I use Win 7 64 bit with core i7 processor

Is there some setting i missed?

I have a new issue with the mini-map myself. I can zoom in and out just fine, but my mines and lasers show up either way too big or way too small.

Obviously mini map got screwed up. Problems are different though. Mine is like his ^^^

yes no effect its still pink

HI Toonces,

I'm experiencing exactly the same problem. It is on all planets that the minimap is "pink" (I think it is actually magenta). Out in the systems everything is fine. It starting right after I upgraded my OS.

System
Windows Vista 64bit
NVidia GeForce GT 240

Could it be something either with the OS or graphics card?

Also, it has been happening to me since around the 5th of May. Didn't pay much attention to it as I was still able to use the minimap... Don't know how long it was happening before that. I had some quiet time...

With the new patch I can not zoom in or out on planets anymore, how ever the defences of a colony appear as bit globy mass on the map... please fix this soon for I can not invade because of the mini map :/

lol come on now i have a pink mini map n i still invade some of the toughest layouts...you can do it

My mini map is much worse after the latest patch ( only on planets ofcourse )

now its worse because we can't zoom in and out. Its just a messy blob of yellow and pink weps. I don't have the Full pink map though

Yes its the light blue circle duh!

The Mini map display of system is all FU. THey are all green dots, Can't tell my planets from random ones, I feel like a contractor.

Would have been nice if the mini-map had one color/shape for corp cols etc like it used to. Would have been nice if mini map had the color codes for the planets like the system galaxy map does.

i guess you could try opening up the file called client.cfg, your starportGE directory, in a text editor like Notepad. Add a line of text that says offscreen=true if its not already there. Save the file, then run starport and see if it changes anything. You could also try it with "offscreen=false".

And you could also try switching between fullscreen and windowed mode and see if that affects the problem at all.

That makes sense seeing as that same trick can be used to get rid of purple outlines around ships and planets.
