I cannot switch into full screen

i cant switch to windows mode, and now i cant get log back in since i had to log out to check email since alt-tab not an option without crashing outside of windowsmode

looks like there's an issue with switching fullscreen/windowed mode on the fly.

You can still use client.cfg to load up in either fullscreen or windowed mode, by editting the file in Notepad to say:
fullscreen=false

or

fullscreen=true if you want fullscreen mode.

toonces at the moment i can't log back on the the game it keeps giving me that message you get when your net is disconnected and im on the internet typing to you right now so my net is fine i just can't get into the game any ideas?

my issue isnt wanting to slect either mode anymore, its wanting to play

i just want to be able to log in period, i dont care which mode i use

I opened Starport this morning and couldn't get out of windowed. I was going to restart it to try and fix it, but I got error message 10057 (the "internet not connected" error message is 11057, so it wasn't that). I redownloaded and it opened, but did the same thing with the "windowed" mode. I exited after playing for about an hour; that was around noon. Now, at 5pm, I'm getting 10057 again. Please help, I don't want to have to play in windowed forever, redownloading before every opening!

After the frustration of excessive lag, with the newest patches. I re-installed SGE. Now login screen won't let me type anything! FRUSTRATING!!
I really hate seeing new patch downloading when starting game, as well in game reset messages.. I know something will not work........ ;(

i have amazingly high packet loss and can't invade or even leave port without d/cing

Re-starting windows usually fixes this.
