Pollution
Hello,
I am not really a "new" user but something caught my attention lately.
I have 2 oceanics on 11th Dimension that are exactly the same (same pollution disasters, same discoveries, same workforce for harvesting, same refinery workforce), however one of these oceanics needs about 30% research to flat out pollution (0%) while the other needs only 23-24% research. All my other oceans require 23-24% as well, it's just this one oceanic that creates much more pollution than the others.
How is this possible?

Re: Pollution
tell em to go green or else you'll let the colony die. It's obvious that this 1 col. still depends on fossil fuels to much.
Re: Pollution
do they both have the same government type?
do they both have deep sea explorer?
directorship (government type) and deep sea explorer (oceanic-specific building) both help with researching. Due to the relatively small difference, i suggest one of your cols doesn't have the deep sea explorer

It seems fixed now.. now that I look at the col it appears normal.. I think I am going mad. :/
Re: Pollution
Sometimes forgetting deep sea explorer causes this. Only thing I could guess...

Re: Pollution
Another reason you might not have realized is that the harvesting rate effects pollution.

Re: Pollution
Having negative morale on the colony will make it pollute more as well. I don't know at what level this starts, maybe just once it reaches In Revolt.

Re: Pollution
Could it have been that the population had or increased very slightly and quickly before it updated itself? that might have been it
