I never played one but when u win a tourney game (subscriber games) do you get anything other than a basic medal?

No, just the basic medal. The tourney games are special, basically have to pay to get in to. The whole idea was based off the pretense that immature people couldn't possibly get into them by holding their fathers/mothers etc hostage to their wishes and make a transaction to let them in so that the parents wouldn't have to deal with the immature folks.

Reasons why this strategy / pretense never applied is

A: It was and is cheap
B: People sell tokens to anyone who can give them starport credits where they need them

Tourney games I believe one at least has a no-admirals club feature.
