How long does it take to land on a planet if you log out in space?

I think its part of the 5 min cycles that are running throughout the game.
So it could be 5 mins or 5 seconds but to be honest I don't know but i do know that i have d/ced for a few mins and come back and am still in space and others d/c for just a few seconds and find myself on a planet.

because in the future our ships have non collision shields on them and/or the stars we orbit are like millions of miles away before we get anywhere near the danger bit of them. either that or we pilot incredibly large vessels that laugh at the mortal things called stars.

 say what? how did this come into the conversation.
if your replying to my question about landing in the sun...... it was a joke
but it sure would be fun to watch a sun first hand but we probably would die of shields damage , cuz of the extreme heat
