Where am I safe?

Post by Baswai » Fri Nov 30, 2007 9:32 pm

Hi all,

I want to be 100% safe ok I can stay in a starport but I have money for only 3 months. Is it possible to make a colonie 100% safe or do I just need to stay in a starport?

You're account will be deleted after not logging on for 1 month.

You're safe

Also, there is no such thing as a 100% safe colony.

Your character on a server will be deleted after not logging in for about 36 days, call it a month to be safe, and you should never not sleep in a port because there is no such thing as a 100% safe colony. Every colony is invadable and it can happen often within less than an hour. Always sleep in a port, spending 3k for 20 hours = 60k, not that much, you can make that in profit from a good uranium sale, and the risk of buying a new ship just isn't cost feasible :)

If you sleep at the port often then you can go to the bar and buy the 5,000$ drink until the bartender says he will give you half off your inn fees. it might cost alot but it's worth it if you sleep there lots.

I prefer colony sleeping. Max defs is the closest thing you can get to complete safety besides ports which cost a s***load if ur a pirate.

sleeping in UN costs even more if you are a pirate, and that's where you'll eventually end up if you keep sleeping on planets. I don't think around 3k an hour is that expensive for 100% safety.

You should only pay 3k an hour if you have lots of exp cuz if you park in UN space you will end up paying more.

In a PK server no colony is safe if it's no longer in UN protection. If you play PAX then consider yourself safe if you built the planet and it DOESN'T belong to the UN.

If you're considering leaving the game for 3 mo, get ready to start from scratch anyway. Even if you had the best defended planet in the game, if someone knew you were gone, AND that you were likely sleeping on your planet, there's a good chance they'd invest in capping and killing. SO park in a port and log in every once in awhile.

I have recently started doing this myself...its not that expensive, much better than sleeping on your planet. Plus, its not like 60k is gonna go missing for long.
