Starport: Galactic Empires

A friend found it on the Telenet (Belgium internet Provider) website, I remember the topic "Starport Galactic Empires searching for Beta version testers" (Or something like that) We downloaded and played but he found another game (which he is still playing) and I quit when Admirale Club came in because I thought it would unbalance the game for kids like me.
Started playing again April of this year, the week before Eastern Holidays,
Haven't stopped playing yet .

just for those who can't read dutch... what does ur pic actually mean? (what's funny about it) cos the only person whose talked about it is MadAce who's also in belgium

You can read it it's written in english, the programme I opened on that screenshot is SGE Beta version, patch 71.
You gotta look better, you should also be able to read that the last time I opened it was in November 2003.

And Starport only started february 4th 2004.

Actually I think that it's the setup u opened on 2003...(u downloaded it that day)
And NOT the game itself,i mean it's even showing u played on november 4th 2005 for the last time so....
Anyway I also remember u(=Nightmare) were the first person to see the IGS
Toonces was flying through the galaxy and he came past u ....
And told u he was testing a new ship
I downloaded it just after Nightmare did lol,but my pc was to weak (I think)...
That shows u how crappy my computer was back then....
But now i can even play Half-Life 2 so....
Oh ya flaks were called Turrets....

No my PC needed to be repaired so it was copied and then it was pasted back on my computer. (I was absent from port 10 days) Oh yeah, I was wrong too, you can't see when I last opened it but we can see the last time it was CHANGED (gewijzigd in Dutch), so that patch (number 71) was downloaded on my Computer in November 2003.

It was a Beta version so it was from before the "release" of starport which was in February 2004.

I wonder how you do that?

Somewhere there is a topic on engineering where they discuss if total morales hould be visible. They'll be interested in your post. I think their figures are taken with a litlle too small margine.

It's because you have 0 pop, and colonies are set to return to 0 morale rather quickly after abandonment. Though pollution isn't affected

Anyone got any advice on defending this colony more? It's a fresh one at A Dark Future.

I've marked the lasers in dark purple.

I'd make at least 3 rings around the dome and more flaks in the straight part and in the cross, just make sure you have a solar cannon and it should be not invadable for at least a while... .

if yesh it can be done in a pair 1 in vulture and 1 in other high shield ship so its a kinda crappy layout

It has a solar. More flak or mor lasers? I could have need of them soon I fear...

It's ok, because it is the beginning of the server...
So no i don't think it is yet invadeble,lucky u hav a solar cannon
But i think u'd better put the dome a bit closer to warp hole,if u know what i mean...

Oh, it is very much invadable. Let's say I picked a spot to start my homesystem that is desired by the entire top 10 of corps. So a SC won't help much I think...

Yea, not much you can do with that layout but i would put atleast a few more lasers at the end of that corridor to prevent wall sliding, and make 2 layers around the dome. Other than that there's not much else I think you can do.

Very impressive. However, you do have to take in to acccount that that IS an everlasting PAX server. It's still an incredible score however, because u'd have to be SO determined to planet that many bios and finish them all off. I quit tht server after 2 weeks lol.. in tht time i'd managed to get to rank #44 LOL
