Edited because my experlative for human feces was auto changed to BBQ

We had nearly 250 online the other day again...

Great, now just stop stretching them over 3 dozen servers...

agreed. they need to learn that 10 dex is needed. they need to learn that a solar, max mill, and lazors are also a requirement.

Rejoyce if old nukes come back. OLD nukes actually hit things. Players carried "chaf" or turrets to drop in the nukes path to avoid being hit.

you should rethink that notorious. while it may be harder to hit other players in space, the new nukes require less skill than ever in several major categories.

old nukes caught on walls and were incredibly difficult to fire around some "nuke catch" points on certain planets. new nukes require LESS skill in that respect - making several of the hardest layouts among the easiest.

new nukes also take much less skill than old nukes to target specific turrets, making some invasions (particularly slides and corner caps) much easier. this likely played a part in the implementation of multi shot sols.

old nukes could be dodged only if you had incredibly high dex and some skill. (which is probably why turrets were set to deflect them.) these new nukes, mainly BECAUSE of the skill needed to connect with them, take next to NO skill to dodge in most cases.

that would not be such a bad thing in and of itself, but consider also the fact that outside of the sethdar's emp there is no other way to stop people from simply docking in the port or warping out of system. compiled with the fact that no other weapon does even remotely similar amounts of damage, it becomes impossible to kill anyone of even mediocre skill.

I only played with old nukes for a few months when iw as a newb, it was much easier to drop nuke and to hit people, but they didn't required much time to learn how to use them well. I like new nukes only of the fact they require much more training then other nukes makes skill difference larger, but you can't kill anyone with them even if you hit with 8.
