Very nice! I wonder what it's settings will be. I assume it will resemble old colonies by different variable settings?

Friday the 11th, at approximately noon U.S. time a new galaxy will bang.

This will be a permanent galaxy with no ending. It will incorporate classic SGE style gameplay in regards to colonies, mainly by making it take less time and attention to keep colonies healthy and stable.

I've always been of the opinion that many players in the community got hung up on the more visceral aspects of SGE (the action components; fighting and invading) and have missed the wider scope as well as some of the subtler aspects of the game.

It seems to me that if it's a pure action game you're after, there are better choices out there than SGE.

That said, it's obvious a large portion of the community fell in love with the pure action components of the game (they are pretty damn fun, aren't they?), and have been asking for a classic server for a long time.

It's great to see it actually happening, and the choice of gameplay style it brings the player. Huzzah!

nah the fighting portion of the game I consider to be one of the best out there, most mmo's that I have played have automatic fighting where u got to be at a certain level to fight someone else and then everything is automated, this is the only one ive played where your in control during a battle

btw I'm talking about free mmo's

back on topic, I probably won't be joining up in the classic server for a while, until around spring break probably when it has made the transition from a rebang feel to a permaverse feel and I will have the time that will undoubtedly be necessary to compete with the numerous vets that will be there. If i start earlier i will probably be looking for a low and inconspicuous role

If you can give us a brief list of the main features of the new server, that would be great toonces. ie,

Will there be pollution?
Will there be drag?
Will the unity bonus return?
Solar?
Resources?
etc.

I think it would be neat if you couldn't sell buildings again also; this will be cool no matter which features it incorporates though.
