This idea is not so good. Think about if you were in a nice space battle with like 6v6 or sumthin your whole team grabs nukes your going to kick donkey, wait what the other team is using all counters and eating all your nukes. Then everyone hangs around with a dumb look on their face, makes half-as...

All I can see this causing is a quest to kill off all the permas by some of us bored players. Would be pretty funny to be able to say you killed off the permas, but yea this idea will never happen I don't think man. Creative idea tho, hehe. But think of the ACTION this would cause! And eventually, ...

Armageddon!
So, I was pondering the permaverse bloatage, inactivity, and quantum sorting, and a toy to put in my own game, and came to this amusing idea: What if, placed randomly somewhere in the game, there was a device, like an artifact or an equipment bay thing, which, if placed somewhere and activated, woul...

Maybe it's actually a sadistic form of punishment, similar to what I'm implementing in another thing I'm doing, "Lag Emulation", which emulates additional lag. I personally did it because testing on local with like 3ms ping and 0% pl is simply not a very good simulation of how players will see the g...

if you've made enemies on a server by doing this - don't expect people to forget when you come back a month later with the same attitude...actions follow people around and some people are like elephants - they never forget... Elephants are exemplary role models. Elephants never forget...and they ne...

I propose a gametype involving waffles. There could be 8 Intergalactic Waffles scattered around the galaxy, and they can be picked up and carried in an equipment bay, and then placed on a planet. The winning team is the one that acquires all 8 of the Intergalactic Waffles stored either on their ship...

oh and gayflower wouldnt be the ultimate, no maneuverability. ISC would pwn at this, fast and a lot of holds to fill with ore No, ISC wouldn't be the ultimate, because if you only get a fixed number of shields far lower than any ship's max, the extra shield capacity of ISC would be a waste. Manueve...

Antispam is easy. I used to have problems with spammers showing up on a daily basis with my forum, a phpbb just like this one. One simple change was added to registration: You simply had to fill out the company's name that made the game. An obvious, braindead question. You were warned to choose wise...

I am honestly starting to doubt that as many of these caps with only screens are being done as people are saying...seems like one person does a corner cap all of a sudden EVERYONE does only corner caps. There is an element of me-too-ism, but I think it's more a recording and attempting bias than an...

I disagree, flaks are easier to drop nuke, so after you kill the flaks the things that do damage are now even easier to kill, the lasers. They will kill all the ones they need to anyway, but if you put the flaks at front you make it easier. Flaks are "harder" to dropnuke from an economic standpoint...

Flaks can add a little splash to your defense, which can help a little, but lazors simply hit harder (and cause lazor lag!). Ultimately, I'd say the benefit of having a few flaks more or less is matched by the drawbacks of using them instead of lazors, on a ring. Where flaks REALLY come into their o...
